Throughout the month of March, BIONEXT mobilized to inform and raise awareness about colorectal cancer prevention as part of Mars Bleu.
This campaign is an opportunity to remind people of the importance of screening and to encourage those concerned to participate in the Organized Colorectal Cancer Screening Program (PDOCCR) in Luxembourg.
While Mars Bleu is coming to an end, prevention continues all year round.
Why take your screening test?
If you receive a screening invitation, it is important to take part.
Colorectal cancer screening is simple, painless and free of charge. It makes it possible to act before symptoms appear and to quickly guide the patient if necessary.
- The sooner the test is carried out,
- the sooner you are reassured,
- or taken care of if necessary.
Getting screened when you are concerned means taking care of your health.
A preventive action for yourself and for your loved ones
Screening does not only concern the person who receives the invitation. Talking about it with others also encourages your relatives to get informed and to participate in screening when they are concerned.
When detected early, colorectal cancer can be cured in 9 out of 10 cases.
This is why prevention remains a major public health issue, far beyond the month of March.
Mars Bleu is ending, but information remains accessible
At BIONEXT, we continue this mission of information throughout the year in order to support patients in understanding colorectal cancer screening.
To help you better understand the different stages of the screening pathway, we provide several information resources:
- an article dedicated to prevention: Mars Bleu: preventing colorectal cancer means taking action for your health
- an article explaining what happens after screening: What happens after your colorectal cancer screening test?
- the information page dedicated to the screening program: https://www.bionext.lu/en/pdoccr
- a page providing more information about the test: I take my test
- our FAQ dedicated to colorectal cancer: PDOCCR – Frequently asked questions
Keep taking action
If you or one of your relatives are concerned by screening, continue to take action.
Taking part in colorectal cancer screening means making a simple, practical and beneficial choice for your health.
Mars Bleu may be ending, but prevention continues all year round.
