There are many symptoms that may suggest an STI: unusual discharge (vaginal or penile), pain during sexual intercourse or when urinating, itching, irritation or redness in the genital area, sores, pimples or warts on the genitals, anus or mouth, bleeding outside the period, pain in the lower abdomen. If you are prone to one or more of these symptoms, don't forget to get tested.
