The quality of the sample collection and the storage conditions of the specimen determine the quality of the results. 

It is therefore very important to follow : 

• All the steps describing how to collect the sample, as indicated on the information sheets provided in each kit. For example, for the cytobacteriological examination of urine (ECBU), it is essential to collect the 2^nd urine stream after local disinfection with the wipe provided. 

• The storage conditions of the specimen once the sample has been collected, in terms of duration and temperature, as indicated on the information sheets provided in each kit. For example, some samples need to be kept in the refrigerator before being dropped off.
