European Testing Week: review of the November 2025 campaign

ETW Recap

From Monday 17/11/2025 to Monday 24/11/2025, BIONEXT once again took part in the European Testing Week. A few days after the end of the campaign, we are pleased to share the results of this screening week with you.

From 17 to 24 November, BIONEXT mobilised its laboratories and its LABOMOBILE to offer free STI (Sexually Transmitted Infections) screenings, accessible to all and without a prescription.

Our screening panel included the most common STIs: HIV, Hepatitis B and C, Syphilis, Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea.

Main highlights of the week:
- A high positivity rate of 4.8%
- Chlamydia and syphilis account for the majority of cases (70%).

These figures underline the importance of screening and its positive impact on public health.
Indeed, STIs — particularly chlamydia — are often asymptomatic, requiring biological testing to be detected.

Thank you to everyone who came for testing and to our partners:
  • Cities of Luxembourg & Esch-sur-Alzette
  • University of Luxembourg
  • Accuramed
  • Our BIONEXT teams in the field.

Our commitment continues: making STI testing accessible to everyone, free of charge and without prescription, all year round in Luxembourg.

The next editions of the European Testing Week campaign are scheduled:
- from 18 to 25 May 2026
- from 23 to 30 November 2026.

More information soon on our dedicated page: European Testing Week | BIONEXT

Our LABOMOBILE was at Luxembourg Central Station during the campaign.
