Strict fasting, which means not eating or drinking anything other than water or black coffee (without milk or sugar) since the previous evening (allowing for 8 to 12 hours of digestion), is not obligatory for all analyses. However, it is necessary to have an empty stomach for the following analyses:
- Glycaemia
- Cholesterol, LDL, HDL
- Triglycerides
- Apolipoproteins A and Apolipoproteins B
- Helikit (for Helicobacter pylori)*
*For this test, it is essential to come to the laboratory without having consumed liquids or solids, nor having smoked, in the previous 12 hours
