Throughout this week, it is possible to undergo free testing for Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) as part of the European Testing Week.
The BIONEXT laboratory is taking part in this initiative for the 8th consecutive year.
Objective: to act against the increase in STIs in Luxembourg.

What is the European Testing Week?
The European Testing Week is a prevention campaign aiming to limit the spread of STIs thanks to early detection.
Organised twice a year – in May and November – this initiative concerns the entire sexually active population. A blood and urine sample is enough to ensure the absence of infection.
In November 2025, BIONEXT is once again taking part in this operation, alongside the Ministry of Health and other organisations in the health, youth and community sectors.

In practice, getting tested means:
- simple → only a blood and/or urine sample is needed
- quick → it only takes a few minutes
- useful → it can save lives… including your own.
If you have any doubt, get tested!
WHEN?
From Monday 17/11/2025 to Monday 24/11/2025 included.
WHO?
Free of charge and open to anyone wishing to be tested, with no age limit.
WHAT?
The tested STIs will include (depending on the person’s choice):
- HIV
- Hepatitis B and C
- Syphilis
- Chlamydia (Chlamydia trachomatis)
- Gonorrhoea (Neisseria gonorrhoeae)
HOW?
Testing possible:
- without appointment
- free of charge
- without medical prescription

To save time, it is recommended to pre-register using the MYLAB application, with or without an account, available from our website and the app stores (Apple and Google Play). It will then allow patients to access their results securely online.
Testing can be anonymous upon the patient’s explicit request, although sharing one’s identity is recommended to facilitate access to the results.
WHERE?

- our mobile laboratories LABOMOBILE, which will exceptionally also be present:
- On the forecourt of the Philharmonie (Luxembourg City)

> From 13:30 to 17:30.
- On the forecourt of the University of Esch Belval
> From Tuesday 18/11 to Wednesday 19/11/2025 included
> From 13:30 to 17:30.
- On the forecourt of Place de la Gare in Luxembourg City
> Thursday 20/11/2025 – from 13:30 to 17:30.
> Friday 21/11/2025 – from 7:30 to 17:30.
AND AFTER?
If the result is positive, the medical team at the BIONEXT laboratory receives the patient for consultation to initiate their care.
This is what makes the difference compared to a self-test that is not supervised by a healthcare professional.
For anonymous testing, the patient may collect their results on-site, at our Leudelange laboratory – 2-4, rue du Château d’Eau.
