Yes, absolutely. Anaesthetic patches (such as EMLA®) can be prescribed by your doctor and are reimbursed by the CNS. They help to limit pain and improve the child's tolerance. The patches can be dispensed at a pharmacy.
With the BIONEXTKIDS service, you can come in before the sample collection so that the patch can be applied on site by a nurse. It requires a minimum application time of 30 minutes to be effective.
At BIONEXTKIDS, our carers are used to distracting and reassuring children with suitable techniques: mimicking the procedure on a cuddly toy, humour, songs, little missions to complete, and so on. And you can help too, for example by:

Strict fasting means not having eaten or drunk any sweet or milky drink for at least 8 hours.
However, you can drink water, tea or coffee (without sugar or milk).
Some test values may be affected if you are not fasting at the time of the blood collection (non exhaustive list):
If you do not need to be on an empty stomach, you can eat a light breakfast, avoiding fats.
