A medical prescription issued by a European doctor is valid in Luxembourg. Therefore, you can visit one of our centers without an appointment with a Belgian, German, or French prescription and be taken care of by the National Health Fund (CNS) without any upfront payment under the third-party payer system.

Your doctor will receive your results in real time on our IT tools, which are available to clinicians for the consultation of results. There is no difference between a doctor practising in Luxembourg and one in a bordering country.

Yes, you are entitled to the same benefits as a resident if you are affiliated with the National Health Fund and if you have a medical prescription from a Luxembourgish or foreign (Belgian, French, or German) doctor.

You can also request to receive your results by post at the moment of your sample collection.

The time taken to deliver results depends on the tests prescribed; please refer to the online catalogue of tests - https://www.bionext.lu/catalogue. Results can be consulted in real time on MYLAB.

For your first analysis
The availability of your results will be communicated to you by SMS and e-mail which contain a unique token for initial access to your MYLAB account:

A prescription for analyses is valid for reimbursement by the CNS for 2 months, unless a date not exceeding 6 months has been specified by the prescribing physician.

Renewable prescriptions are valid for 6 months from the date of prescription.
