Artist Jacques Schneider invites you to discover his neighbourhood and the places he passes through every evening on his creative walk.
Belair, a district of the capital, has the soul of a village, with its bell tower serving as a veritable landmark. For the artist, it is a source of daily inspiration and reflection.
St. Pius X Church
The church's bell tower is a real landmark for local residents. It has one distinctive feature: its 69-metre-high tower leans slightly!
Before the church was inaugurated in 1957, local residents had the opportunity to write down their dreams and wishes on pieces of paper. These were then placed in the huge golden sphere that tops the tower, providing a unique testimony to the history and hopes of the community.

The Belair swimming pool
The Belair swimming pool is tucked away in the new sports centre buildings. Its modern architecture contrasts with the historic church in the neighbourhood.
This duality illustrates the dynamism of Belair, a neighbourhood of the capital that nevertheless retains its rural soul.

The Arquebusiers Tennis Club
Playing tennis in a green setting in the heart of the city is the spirit of the Arquebusiers Tennis Club, easily recognisable in the neighbourhood.
Originating from the Arquebusiers Society, founded in 1402, the club built its first courts in 1922, before gradually expanding.
In 2014, the city of Luxembourg redeveloped the site and entrusted its management to the club, combining modernity with historical heritage.
